ABOUT
GALAXY MUSIC is a childrens' dance competition hosted by GALAXY OF TALENTS project, organised by the Vestnik Kipra Publishing House and the Pattihio Municipal Theater with the support of the Municipality of Limassol, the Pattihio Municipal Theater and under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Cyprus.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
To provide children living in Cyprus with the opportunity to show their talents to the wide audience.
To acquaint children with new, modern trends in various genres of choreographic art.
To support choreography development in Cyprus, to help in development of new shows and performances
To strengthen creative links between children and cooperation between parents, teachers and Cypriot school and collective directors.
To give children an incentive for further development and professional growth.
To encourage those who have already reached a certain level of performance skills.

  • CONTEST PARTICIPANTS
    Amateur and on stage performance groups (from 6 to 24 people) are invited to participate in the competition, the age of participants is from 7 to 18 years.

    Age groups:
    I age group: from 7 to 13 years
    II age group: from 14 to 18 years


  • NOMINATIONS
    Creative interaction of children and acquaintance with new choreographic areas are some of the main tasks of our dance competition, in this regard, the groups will not be divided by types, styles and directions of dance!

    The competition will only distinguish between the age category and the number of participants in the group.
  • CONTEST HOLDING PROCEDURE
    The order in which the contestants will perform is determined by a random draw.

    The Organizing Committee reserves the right to combine age groups with a small number of contestants or to cancel the nomination due to the lack of participants.

  • Liliya Sabitova
    People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Founder of the Moscow State Ballet of Liliya Sabitova and Moscowia Ballet Theatre. Laureate: All-USSR Ballet Master Competition, All-USSR Modern Dance Performers Competition, All-Russia Ballet Competition, Havana International Art Festival (Republic of Cuba), Argentina International Art Festival.
  • Diana Simillides
    Diana gratuated with a BA Honours with the title `Specialist in the field of Dance`. Classical Ballet Teacher (Vaganova System) and Contemporary Dance Choreographer (Cyprus, Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, India). Classical Indian Dancer and Choreographer. Founder of "Yoga Inco Dance by Diana". Owner/ Director/Teacher of "Nirmala Yoga Dance Centre".
  • Mayia Kikkidou
    Mayia Kikkidou has studied in London at the Royal Academy of Dance. Has also a BA Honours degree in the Art and Teaching of Classical Ballet from Durham University. Has taught, performed and choreographed in both Greece and Cyprus. Has participated in various dance events, collaborating with various artists of Cyprus and abroad. Currently is teaching dance to adults and elder people. Also organising events on stage, performing etc.
  • Frosso Hadjigeorgiou
    Studied dance in London, Created her own ballet school in1974 and tough for 45 years. She has been working hard for the development of dance in Cyprus.

    President of Cyprus dance association for many years. She was a founding member of the Limassol dance workshop, ballet Cyprus and the dance group "Synthesis".
  • Daniel Haddad
    Dance instructor – Ballroom and Latin Dances – since 1993. Franchisee/ owner of Arthur Murray Franchised Dance Studio of Nicosia-Cyprus and Beirut-Lebanon. Arthur Murray Trainer, Certified examiner and Adjudicator. Winner of lots of prizes for several years as: *Top teacher award /*Top teacher junior award / *Top studio award /*Top counselor award.
  • Panikos Theofilou
    Panikos is a dancer and dance instructor, Organizer of the annual Pancyprian seminar "Near Tradition" (2002-2019). He is also a dance instructor at the cultural association "Near Tradition". Member of the international dance council C.I.C UNESCO and a teacher at the Training Centers, Ministry of Education and Culture (Since 2006).
